New Books: We've added some inexpensive high-quality cookbooks on several different styles of health-promoting cooking and eating
  • Around the World in 450 Recipes with Over 1500 Stunning Photographs:  Reader comment: "I love this cookbook. My son gave it to me as a Christmas gift, and he doubled the gift by buying one for himself. The book is divided into countries and respective recipes from that country. I decided to cook through the book, one dish from each country, and then repeat the process. Every dish I've made has gotten an A+ from my husband and me...."
  • Tastes of the Mediterranean (from "Family Circle" Step-by-Step): Great recipes, easy to make!
See our new listing of book offerings!

  • Culinaria France: Reader review: "I love this beautiful cookbook! I have been staying in France for almost three years and would be going back to my own country soon. I had been looking for a French cookbook which contains recipes for the delicious food I eat here. This is the best I have found."
  • The Paleo Diet: This book by Loren Cordain PhD is an important part of the Paleo-Mediterranean diet and Dr Vasquez's 5-Part Nutritional protocol.
  • Step-by-Step Tasty Low-Fat Recipes: The title of this book says it all!

Video: We've made two very casual videos about how to make our raw "green brownies"

New Essays: How to Leverage Weekends for Health Optimization, and Summary of Phyto-nutrients

1) The Power of Weekends: Many people say they don't have time for exercise and healthy eating during the week because of their work schedules; weekends provide us an opportunity to "reclaim our lives" and re-design the parts that need to work better.  Using weekends to explore new recipes and new exercises will make it easier to incorporate these changes into the work week.  Read "The Power of Weekends" here.

2) Introduction to Phyto-Nutrients: In this article, Dr Vasquez stresses the importance of the health-promoting and anti-inflammatory actions of "phytochemicals", also called "phytonutrients."  Given that the word "phyto" means plant, what we are talking about here are nutrients and chemicals from plants that have an important impact on your health. Read "Introduction to Phyto-Nutrients" here.

Thank you for taking a look at the new newsletter, and I hope you enjoy the news and videos!  I enjoy making these newsletters and updating the website each week to share with you two of my all-time favorite topics: health & nutrition.

Sincerely wishing you the best in health and wellness,

Dr Alex Vasquez
